Restless
Some weekly distractions:

Movies (1-3 times a week)
Online shopping (surf daily)

The most hardworking day of my life
Study...
YIH study roomand study...

Engineering block com laband study again...
com lab againOther days we'd just study awhile then go to Vivo to watch movie or go MPSH to play table tennis. Today we totally overcame that temptation to watch movies. =) Although it's actually it's due to a dispute. I wanted to watch The Other Boleywn Girl, and Kh wanted to watch Run Papa Run. I said I'd rather study than watch Run Papa Run so yeah. Study lor. =x

Canon EOS 450D
After much discussion with Jack, I have set my eyes on the new Canon EOS 450D DSLR.

$1,500 with kit lens (although Jack has got some lobangs for me), 12.2 megapix, image stabiliser, 18-55mm zoom lens, can shoot in both raw and jpg formats, has a self-cleansing system, 3.0" LCD monitor, continuous shooting at 3.5fps, auto lighting optimiser, max shutter speed of up to 1/4000 per second, and last but not least, LIVE VIEWING, which is really new for DSLRs, although I probably wouldn't use it much. It's only an entry level consumer DSLR, but ya can already do wonders with it. =)
Jack said that he would lend me his photography books and he also gave me some websites and forum links which I can learn from. He also got some lobangs for me. haha... I was telling him that I would slog for the whole of may/june holidays for this camera and I would not have any regrets. Have to get this real soon, and learn it in time for my Dec Vietnam backpacking trip. Have postponed it to December instead of June hols as Jack said that Vietnam in Dec is the best. Super cold. Heh. And I totally trust Jack, cuz first of all, he's my churchmate. And 2nd, he's a very experienced backpacker, and a very experienced photographer. 2 of my greatest passions in life. I honestly think that he is like a professional although he says he isn't "there" yet. He shared some of his secret "copyrighted" collections with me and I thought they were amazing. They are the reason for my sudden inspiration. =)
It's not exactly a cheap hobby, as I'd probably get some specialised lens in future, but I think it's totally worth it. I wanna be able to capture the full beauty of this world that God has created for us... the landscapes, the people... These are 2 major areas in photography I've been wanting to focus on. Plus, I've been serving in MTM (multimedia ministry) in church. Would be great if I can use my own original photos instead of other people's. =)
Updated my "help-the-poor-gerlynn-fund" list. I'm getting poorer each day... T_T

!!!
Kh's exam is around the same time as mine, and I reckon that it should be near when I see him studying. However, we're meeting Jf again for badminton and table tennis this week, as usual on tuesdays and fridays, and he showed no sign of urgency. I called and I said,"You know I only have 16 days left to study." And he was like,"You don't know meh, I got exam this saturday." :O :O :O !!!
Baking cookies now. Have been wanting to do so since weeks ago, so yeah I better do it now before I get more busy. As Jo put it very nicely,"You should bake today so you can eat it while you're studying tmr." So yeah.
On a side note, my sign language dictionary has finally been put to good use. My older sis used it for her inter-polyclinic pharmaceutical department competition. She's never learnt sign language before but she used the book and learned it herself, and taught her whole pharmacy group to interpret the song 'Heal the World' using sign language, as part of the performance. Wah.. super impressive lah. Her group won first prize in 2 categories and $1000 in cash! =D
Just to reminisce an old favourite song... uploaded the full mp3 for yr listening pleasure. =)
Done with projects
Would like to congratulate myself and my team. Yay! We ROCK! Best team ever! Super high efficiency and coordination. Hahhahahah.... and also super shameless... always praising ourselves.... =x

I love surprises. And it's always wonderfully pleasant to see a package on my table when I come home. Today, I receive 4 items! 2 tops, 1 bottom and 1 earphone. Hee. The extra tee I got days before.
Was looking through my phone and I saw this:
Pics from the first Old Navy spree I organised. I think total of 38 packages. I went to Singpost to post all of them one night and my spreers tell me they get their stuff the next afternoon. I suppose Singpost had no choice but to clear the letter bin as I so totally filled it up. Hence they were exceptionally quick with delivery!
On a side note, I met kh and jf again at NUS for table tennis today. 2nd time this week! We were having a mini tournament with the first match being me vs kh. During the game, kh was asking me how to block those "chopped" balls, and I was like,"This is a competition. Please do not ask questions about table tennis strategies." And he was like,"Shut up." Lols, I so like to see him get irritated. =x
