Mum Rocks

I love my mum dearly.

She didn't tell me what I wanted to hear, but what I needed to hear. It was really comforting to have someone to remind me of how real the spiritual world is.

I sought God out in the quietness of my room, and amazingly received a message from Him despite my constant disobedience. It came in the form of Psalm 16 which I had coincidentally highlighted many years ago.

Psalm 16

1 Keep me safe, O God,
for in you I take refuge.

2 I said to the Lord,"You are my Lord;
apart from you I have no good thing."

3 As for the saints who are in the land,
they are the glorious ones in whom is all my delight.

4 The sorrows of those will increase
who run after other gods.
I will not pour out their libations of blood or take up their names on my lips.

5 Lord, you have assigned me my portion and my cup;
you have made my lot secure.

6 The boundary lines have fallen for me in pleasant places;
surely I have a delightful inheritance.

7 I will praise the Lord, who counsels me;
even at night my heart instructs me.

8 I have set the Lord always before me.
Because he is at my right hand, I will not be shaken.

9 Therefore my heart is glad and my tongue rejoices;
my body also will rest secure,

10 because you will not abandon me to the grave
nor will you let your Holy One see decay.

11 You have made known to me the path of life;
you will fill me with joy in your presence,
with eternal pleasures at your right hand.


I just thought this is so in line with my thoughts. Admist all the awfully crude things said about me, I forgive, and I find joy in Christ my Lord. Yet I will humble myself and pray, continuing to ask God for His wisdom to do what is right and good, to shine in His likeness, and become overcomers in Christ.

Fighting the spirtual war. Because the world is only temporary.

Bodyshop sale + AMC Project + Chijmes

Went to the Bodyshop warehouse sale at Suntec with Prat on Friday. It was CRAZY CRAZY CRAZY. Was quite disappointed that all my lavendar body wash was sold out the day before. But I did manage to get around $60 worth of bargains. ^__^

AMC project @ Starbucks. We were doing a project on SonyAlpha DSLR. So you bet it was one of the most fun project I've had. Will brought his gf's SonyAlpha350, and his own Nikon D90, and I brought my own Canon 450D. So all of us were like switching cameras to play with. So cool. ^__^

Saizeriya

Went to Saizeraya @ Liang Court (JapItalian fusion) on Friday night for dinner. Cuz the food is cheap and good and there's free parking some 10metres away. Unfortunately, I had to pay $4 in ERP fees just by entering that district. It was charging till 7.55pm. And it was 7.43pm when I drove past. Hai~

The pizza is not bad (well it's only $7. I'm not complaining.), the chicken wings are really really good. Did not like the seafood risotto. Beef gratin is a must-try (Only $4!). The free-flow drink bar is only worth it if you drink more than 2 cups or a glass of wine.

After dinner, we took a short walk around Clarke Quay as I wanted to do some photography. My only regret is that I had to rush through the photo shoots as we had a movie to catch, and as a result of that, the photos turned out pretty bad. =(
