Eau De Parfum

Robinsons is on sale today. Ok so what's the big deal, you might ask, since Robinsons is ALWAYS on sale. Well, for a limited period of time, they're having this special promotion for Ralph Lauren fragrance. Buy a set of Ralph Lauren Turquoise, spend over $200, and you get some pretty neat stuff. While stocks last.

I have been using Ralph Lauren Blue for about 2 years now. It's almost finishing. It's high time I get myself another kind of perfume anyway. Kh, too, has been using Calvin Klein's Crave for as long as I know. I love that scent. It's the best smelling cologne in my opinion. Even so, he wants something else for a change as well. He's been eyeing on Polo Black ever since it was launched. And this promotion came at just the right time.

our new sets

We got ourselves a set of Ralph Lauren Turquoise for myself and another Polo Black set for him. Total price was about $250 but look at the free gifts we got!

1 Ralph Lauren teddy bear (so cute!!!), 1 40ml Ralph Lauren Blue Eau De Toilette, 1 Ralph Lauren Blue Moisturiser, 1 7ml Ralph Lauren Turquoise Eau De Parfum, 2 Polo Black Eau De Toilette samples, and 1 huge Ralph Lauren luggage bag!!!

This promotion is seriously crazy. Those I mentioned above are just the free gifts that come with a minimum spending of $200. Besides this, the packages themselves are already on offer. I bought my Ralph Lauren Turquoise set at $103. $103 is for the perfume. The shower gel and body lotion are free.

We had this huge sense of satisfaction when we lugged our 2 huge Robinsons plastic bags home. It was a rather impulsive move to buy it so suddenly, because we had only talked about it yesterday. But how can anybody (like ourselves) miss this?!

Life's like that: Obsession

Last afternoon, I was playing the game Prime Suspects with Gerrie. It's a detective game whereby you have to find items in a messy picture to get clues to solve the crime. We played it for hours together, and somehow after that, our minds occasionally played the game's background sound in our heads. That's alright I guess. But something crazy happened. Gerrie found a stamp on the kitchen floor (in our house). She almost wanted to tell me that she found a clue, and that sounds totally ridiculous already. Cause, we're always looking for Chinese stamps in the game. It can get a little hard to differentiate real stamps and virtual stamps. -_-"

Some months back, before I started school, I had this little "addiction" to Maplestory. I would play it whenever I have free time (Obviously I'm over that phase now. So over.). One night, I dreamt that I was in Perion and somebody released a Thanatos (level 120 monster or so) via Black Sack*. It was floating towards me and I "ran" as fast as I could. But somehow, I wasn't walking as fast as I should (probably not wearing speed equips -_-"). I quickly entered another portal, but the Thanatos followed me in too! The End.

Yes, I'm thankful for not sleeping long enough to see the ending. Speaking of which, I should've teleported.

*Black Sack is a sack which is black and it contains a certain type of monster, depending on which type of black sack you have. It's quite a rare item. You may use it whenever and whereever you want for whatever purposes. Some people use it for fun, and some use it to sabotage others. =X

My Pet Hamsters

Yesterday, Kh was complaining that there was nothing to do at my house, and he needed hamsters to accompany him. So, we went to a pet shop at Marine Parade to get 2 hamsters. I thought it was a really good idea to get him some pets to play with, then I can concentrate on my studies. Who knows that they actually turn out to be a bigger distraction. T_T

We have a male and a female hamster. They are about 2 months old and are probably siblings as well. We named the male hamster, Hammie, and the female one, Jean Grey. heh ^^

They are soooo cute!

Hammie is slightly bigger than Jean Grey. He is really strong and he has a foul temper. = It's extremely difficult to catch him because he runs too quickly, and climbs too fast. He also likes to hide from us by digging his way though the thick layers of bedding (think crawling 'underground'). -_-" Somehow, he doesn't like to sleep in their castle. He prefers to sleep underground (especially in the afternoon), and sometimes under the 'log' (dried cactus), thinking that we wouldn't find him that way. He gets irritated when we do find him. He'd scream at us and start searching for another hideout to sleep peacefully.

Jean Grey, on the other hand, is very tame. She likes to dig herself a hole in the castle to rest during the afternoon, and when it's dark at night, she'll find herself another cosy spot outside. I caught her hugging the log while sleeping last night! (see 8th picture) So adorable! heh. She's much easier to catch. In fact, she'll approach us when she sees our fingers. hehe.

Initially, we put their castle at a corner so as to allow them more space to run about. But later on, I caught Jean Grey leaning at a corner and chewing on their castle! It was new but badly bitten in just a few hours. I had to put it in the middle so she wouldn't be able to do that. And it proved to be effective. After all, the logs are for them to chew, not the castle! hmph!

Yummy Pancakes!

In the midst of studying today, I suddenly felt a little domesticated. So, I decided to give Kh and Gerrie a little surprise by making something they love. Pancakes with ice cream. Yum yum!

Mini pancakes... to be eaten with chocolate fudge and ice cream. Ooh.. how sinful. heh ^^

VivoCity's Opening Day

Kh and I went to VivoCity on its opening day yesterday despite the very bad haze. The PSI reached a record high of 150 at 9pm last night (in the middle of the unhealthy range), but that wasn't enough to stop the crowds from coming in.

It was rather disappointing though. Less than 30% of the shops are open for business, everywhere was dusty, and there was no food to eat! I had to endure eye and nose irritation as a result of the haze. It would've been more comforting if the trip there proved to be worthwhile. But Kh and I managed to snap up tickets for the FIRST show in the largest cinema in GV. That is, GVmax. =D
Click here for more info on the cinema

We couldn't be more excited! Kh was like,"Oops! This is the first popcorn to drop on this seat.. hehe..." "Oops! This is the first popcorn to drop on the carpet.. hehe..." For once, we get CLEAN seats! Yeah! "This is the first butt to land on this seat.. hehe... ^^"

We went for the 5pm timeslot for World Trade Center. There was more than 2 hours before our movie started so we went to explore the other parts of VivoCity. The view from the rooftop is amazing! Too bad it was so hazy. Here are some pictures I took at around 3pm. Look at the haze!!

Kh and I decided that VivoCity could be our new hangout in the future (when it's fully opened). The rooftop garden is really beautiful and spacious. I even saw some guys studying there already (with the haze??!!)! It isn't too inconvenient for us either, since we both have direct buses there from our house, and the journey is only less than 30mins. Plus, GV VivoCity has got a wide range of movies to choose from, and they've got lots of seats at the waiting areas. The seats in the cinemas are also very comfortable. There's lots of leg room for a start. I could stretch out my leg straight and it wouldn't touch the seat in front! Also, ALL the armrests can be lifted up (you can do without couple seats now), and almost all the seats have got a good view (except for the front sides of course).

We went for dinner at Harbourfront foodcourt(VivoCity and Harbourfront are linked together) as a last resort, since everywhere was so crowded and there was no decent food available. It was 8.30pm then. You wouldn't believe what we saw...

For your information, there was another pile of this at another corner behind us. I guess the cleaners couldn't keep up with the crowd, and somehow, everyone started putting their trays on the floor since all the tables are occupied. The whole place was in a mess! This is what happens when VivoCity, such a large shopping mall, officially opens without ANY restaurants and foodcourt available. >_<
