Woohoo! I'm a happy girl today due to a few reasons. All happened today.

1) For the love of... MY BUSINESS
My business supplier has shipped the goods and I am expecting it to arrive soon. That means, I can organise more sprees in future, cuz I've been approved as a spree organiser on another 2 spree sites! Hoping to open another one soon, after I've received the goods. =)

Also, someone has bought my bicycle helmet on ebay and is arranging to meet me tomorrow. Fastest transaction ever! What a pleasant surprise!


2) For the love of... MY FRIENDS
CY has confessed to me that he is in love! And I so obviously know who is it! Feel so happy for him! And also for two other people, namely, Terence and Leonard who recently got attached! It's nice to see a positive change in their lives. Like visibly a lot happier. =) Can see Terence sms-ing his gf all the time, smiling to himself, and he'll keep asking me for tips and all. Hah. So funny. Indeed the boys have grown up! CY says,"You sound like an auntie lah." LOL. Sorry but it really feels this way. =X


3) For the love of... SHOPPING
Cheez06 has fulfilled my request by adding ANOTHER balenciaga bag spree! And ADDED another colour too! Though I specifically asked for peach pink and cream white, and she gave beige (the others probably not available), I can't complain cuz ya know I NEED more balenciaga bags! Yay! Funny. Why are people getting so poetic these days?

Anyway, I'm so looking forward to my thailand trip. Any hotel recommendations for Bangkok? Budget S$50 or less per room per night. Does not have to include breakfast. Must be clean and comfortable with nice design and lighting. And of course clean toilets. Preferrably near the shopping areas. Specifically Pratunam and Chatuchak. And also will be great if it's near the skytrain too. Thanks.

Downtime

For some reason, I'm feeling very down right now. I'm not sure what it is, but it's as though I'm trying to find meaning in life. I know, as a christian, I shouldn't be saying such things, because I DO know what I'm here for. Yet, I wish I could be that close to God to really feel it for myself, and not just KNOW it.

I've recently finished watching 'One Litre of Tears'. So many people have watched it and say they feel encouraged and stronger than before. Yet, somehow it's making me feel so pessimistic. It's like the whole world is struggling so hard, striving to do their best everyday, in things they find meaning in. Not just for my friends, my family, but also for a poor little girl suffering from a cruel disease.

As for me, 21 years of unaccomplished life. Running everyday without a sense of direction. I'm not good at anything, and I haven't found anything I'm good at. While my coursemates have all started studying for our exams (in 3 more weeks), and poor Kh is struggling so hard at NUS just to pass his engineering course, and everyone else working so hard for themselves and/or for others, here I am, slacking and working, doing nothing meaningful, and leaving my books to collect dust?

Where can I ever find the motivation to study? I'm feeling so stress right now, over school, over work, over relationships, but it seems like I can't/am not do anything about it.

Kh recently said something that alarmed me. He said the 4th week before exam is the best time to read notes, and the 2nd week before the exam, the best time to start studying. Hello? 2nd week before the exam is the EARLIEST time I ever start READING. Don't even talk about studying man. Gosh, I feel like a total loser sometimes. At any rate, I can't go on like this. I really need to find something to strive for, to find meaning in. As I've learnt from 'One Litre of Tears', life is so fragile. You'll never know when you're going to die. ALWAYS LIVE LIFE TO THE FULLEST!

Backpacker's Tales: Thailand, Udon Thani (Part 2)

I created this post on 14/3/07 and blogged halfway, and now I'm finally posting it. =.= Well, yeah, this is like almost a year ago, I know. I'm slow k?

Anyways, I suddenly remembered that I have this last post left unfinished cuz I've recently booked my air tickets to bangkok and udon this december. Yep. Brings back all the fond memories. Heh. And please don't say I never jio you guys k. I remember mentioning this to almost anyone who would listen to me. And when I say it, I really mean it. Okay, so if no one wants to go with me, I'll still go. And since no one has given me any confirmation whatsoever, I seized the opportunity to get cheap tickets during the promotion period. I'll be away for 10 days again. Like last year.

Okay, I'm not a geography student, and I may come across as being really stupid here, but anyways, I always wondered how natural ponds are formed. How can a pond just appear out of nowhere, in the middle of a plot of land? Strange isn't it? Ah, quick geography lesson from my aunt.

1st: During the monsoon seasons, the river will flood, and the flood will spread all over the land. Hence, fishes will go along with the flood.

2nd: Monsoon season ends, the water level goes down. Water on higher elevation clears or dries up, whereas water on the low lying areas remain flooded. As a result, some fishes are trapped in the low lying areas.

3rd: Times passes, and the fishes continue to live and breed in the muddy water.

Will show you guys how her natural pond looks like next time. It's a real natural pond. The water is very shallow only, but it's very very muddy. When you step in, it's knee-deep.

Cinderella Anime

Finally, I've found my fave cinderella anime. The one I've been looking for for years! I've searched everywhere for it. No manga, no dvd/vcd, no online video nothing! Jf, you'll want to see this!

It's actually a french cartoon called Cendrillon Monogatari, or Shinderera Monogatari in Japanese. I didn't know that, so all this while I've been looking for it under the name Cinderella Anime, or the chinese name, Xin Di Lei La. Zzz... Wells, seems like I'm not the only one looking for it, cuz as you read the comments made on YouTube on that video, you'd realise how many ardent fans this anime has got!

Here's one episode of it! Pity it's in French though. Better than nothing. =X




They have it dubbed in various languages like chinese, cantonese, and I think maybe english also. I used to watch it in chinese on tv, channel 8, 7 years ago. School ends at 1.40pm, and that show starts at 2pm, so every tuesday afternoon I would RUN home from school just so I wouldn't miss a second of it!
