New phone + F1

It was a really boring Saturday afternoon as always. I was on the bus home when Kh suddenly called me to tell me there was this roadshow at PS that was selling the Samsung F480 at $100 cheaper than other places and asked me to go down immediately. I had no prior intention of changing a phone but went down to take a look anyway. So that was it. I totally bought it on impulse.

It was a hasty decision. I was deciding between coral pink and black. Really wanted black but everyone over there kept saying pink is so much nicer. Even a random lady next to me said,"You should get pink. It's nicer." -_-" So I got pink. It's a newly launched colour and also came with an exclusive $50 Face Shop voucher. Kh got himself the luxury brown one.

So anyways, I wanna say that I'm really proud of Singapore for hosting the F1 Grand Prix so successfully. There was so much praise going on for our country, and just seeing our stunning skyline at the backdrop touched my heart so much that I almost well up in tears. I see the same view all the time especially when driving along the ECP, but just seeing this broadcast live worldwide is a whole different feeling altogether.

I gotta say yesterday's F1 race was really exciting. I can't understand why dad and sis can fall asleep after 5 mins of watching. It's more than just fast cars. It's about strategy, glam, overwhelming technology and so much more. Perhaps my greatest regret this year is not being able to watch the race at marina. Next year, I'm gonna be there, and I'll get my camera, lenses, and tripod ready! ;)

Settlers + Singapore Flyer

Just yesterday, some "spies" came to the cafe and take pics of its interiors. I was telling CY maybe it's because they wanna give him free publicity, like put it on their blog or something. And he was like,"You don't even do that!" So, I did just that during the staff training today. Perfect timing anyway since I brought my camera along.

The new cafe!

Kh, Za, Mohan, CY

Don't know what's with Mohan's dig-nose pose. It's gross! Lol. Anyway, yesterday, 2 indian guys came over and paid $9/hr for a table just to play one round of Battleship. That game ended in about half an hour.

Me: Woah, they're so rich!
Mohan: Indians are rich.
Terence: Mohan is rich.
Me: But Mohan is half-indian.
Terence: So he is half-rich.

-__-"

Za showing everyone how to make drinks.

Terence and CY

Was telling CY that he looks pissed in the first photo so I asked to shoot another time. Then it was Terence's turn to look pissed. So I gave up. I feel like I'm talking to monkeys.

After which, we headed off to the Singapore Flyer with my family. Dad bought 7 tix at only $16 each some time back, and finally we're able to find time to go!

Sis was kinda pale as she was feeling nauseous. She's currently in her first trimester! =)

Vietnam Trip- Confirmed

The long-awaited moment... booked tix to Vietnam at only $0.04 each!

I must say though, that I'm not too happy about the taxes. $72 per trip per person! Do these people want my life or what? I remember last year it was about $50 only. And so much for budget prices. $0.04 cents + $10 for baggage allowance (unless you intend to go empty handed), and then another $4 more for "convenience" fee.

I'm glad that mum didn't have any negative reactions when I told her I was going on this trip with just Kh. I really wanted to go with a group of 4, but it's just too bad that I wasn't able to find anybody who could/would go with us. Things were much easier on Kh's side though. His mum merely said that Vietnam is gonna rain a lot in December--like it was of any relevance at all.

We're intending to start off with HCMC, since we got ourselves cheap tickets, then backpack all the way up to Hanoi, and further up to Sapa, and then take the return flight from Hanoi, if we do manage to get hold of cheap return tickets. =)
